Artos for Android

Artos is in a closed test on Google Play. Joining takes about two minutes.

How to join

  1. Step 1

    Join the tester group

    Open the group and tap Join group. A short form opens. Tap Join group again.

    The group page says "You don't have permission to access this content" until you join. That is normal.

  2. Step 2

    Become a tester

    Open the Google Play test page and tap Become a tester.

  3. Step 3

    Download from Google Play

    The page now says "You are a tester." Tap "download it on Google Play".

    Install and open

    Google Play shows Artos (Early Access). Tap Install, then Open.

If something does not work

The Google Play page stays blank

The Play Store app uses a different Google account than your browser. In the Play Store app, tap your picture at the top, switch to the account that joined the group, then open the link again.

Google Play says the app is not available

Check that you joined the group with the same account. If you joined a few minutes ago, wait a little and try again.

You have the earlier test version from Firebase

The Google Play version cannot install over it. In the old app, open You, then Export backup. Uninstall the old app, install Artos from Google Play, then restore the backup.

Why a closed test

Google Play asks a new developer to test an app with at least 12 people for 14 days before everyone can install it. Keep Artos on your phone and use it during that time. Updates arrive through Google Play like any other app.

On an iPhone?

Artos is on the App Store.
